Beautiful Creatures

I just finished reading this book by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. At first it reminded me of another "Twilight-type" book, teenage love story, and I wasn't too sure how I felt about it....you know, mortal falls in love with some sort of supernatual. But by the time I got to the second half of the book, I didn't want to put it down. I really enjoyed the twists. It's from the perspective of a sixteen-year old boy, which is maybe why I didn't make the connection at first. The sequel is coming out in October, called Beautiful Darkness.

Now I can say I LOVED IT and can't wait for the sequel!!

I'm Going to Wicked!!!!

Chrystina and I are going to Wicked at the end of June. Super excited!

And then Eclipse will only be a couple of days after that :-). Do you realize the midnight showing of Eclipse is going to be on a Tuesday night????

Galveston Work Retreat

Last weekend I went to Galveston for a work retreat. It was a lot more fun than I had anticipated!!! Most everyone stayed in the house we rented for two days, but I stayed with KK&K. Of course, my birthday was Sunday, so spending it with Kenny, Karen & Kellye was great. Loved, loved, loved the chocolate cake with butter cream frosting from SAMS ~ Yes!!!!

Here are a few photos from our retreat, just so you can see some of the folks I work with. Great bunch of people. There's not a single person I don't like or get along with. This job truly has been a tremendous blessing in my life!!

Giants in the Land of Canaan!

I received an email today with these photographs attached. (And yes, these are false, but wouldn't it be cool if they were real ????) The email said:

Giants in land of Canaan!! I thought this was really cool, how scientists keep finding proof of biblical stories!

Remember the Old Testament story of how the Israelites were afraid because of the GIANTS in the land of Canaan ?
